DR. MAYURA MANERKAR

Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Manerkar graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2012. She spent seven years in Ottawa where she practiced as a general dentist. For five of those years, she served as a clinical dentist with Ottawa Public Health, where she developed a strong interest in community-based care. She then completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Manitoba. Her thesis was based on the effects of silver diamine fluoride on the oral bacteriome and mycobiome. After completing her residency, Dr. Manerkar joined the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) as a Staff Pediatric Dentist and worked extensively with children with special needs and complex medical conditions. Dr. Manerkar is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She also holds a Management Certificate from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
