DR. JOANNIE BERNIER

Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

Dr Bernier was born and raised in the small town of Lac-Mégantic, in the province of Quebec. She graduated from dental school at Laval University in 2013 and completed a general practice residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where she treated mostly medically compromised children. For the next two years, she worked in a pediatric dental office in Montreal, as a general dentist. She then completed a Pediatric Dentistry certificate at University of Texas Health Science Center with a Master of Science in Dentistry. She received extensive training in dental trauma, dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia and treatment of medically compromised children, including a rotation at the Texas Children Hospital. During her second year of residency, she also served as a chief resident.
